Unleashing Chaos: Exploring the Ultimate EA FC25 Rush’s Blue Card Limit

The play-field of EA FC25 Rush is full of surprises and twists and turns but have you ever seen what happens when all the players are given a blue card? In this special mode of playing, what used to be a red card is now a blue card meaning a team has a one-minute time out. However, where does this leave us when more than one person receives the blue card? What does the game do — does it get broken? It was decided to launch an experiment to check the capabilities of the game and to challenge the FMLV of FC25 Rush.

So before moving to the experiment, it’s crucial to get a clear picture of the blue card system in FC25 Rush. After a player is issued with a blue card he is suspended from the field for one minute leaving his/her team with weak players in the playing arena. This brings an element of tactics to the match because players had to do with only enduring the temporary loss of their team member.

The Experiment

Our first strategy was to have two controllers and set the referee strictness up to ensure that we drew more blue cards from the game. Manchester United was selected as our team and the objective among all was to gain yellow cards first which as we all know leads to a certain victory of blue card. However, before we could make it, the time was up and we only got two blue cards.

Adjusting Tactics

When we looked at our early returns, we knew that we had to change our approach. We removed two controllers and started to play with the CPU, also changing the settings in the simulation in order to make tackles. This new approach proved more successful, and within a short amount of time, the organization was filling blue cards. We realized that when we got to three blue cards, the game stopped To pressure the other team into making a mistake, it was fun.

Red Card Experiment

In another experiment, we wanted to test how the game behaves when it receives more than one red card. When five players received red cards and were therefore out of the game, a game became barren and had to be stopped. We took interest in this and wanted to know if the game proceeded to the six or seventh red card or even the eighth red card and the likes.

Key Findings

Our experiments revealed the following key findings:

  • FC25 Rush stops when a total of three of the blue cards is shown.
  • Normal life kick off mode halts after five red cards.
  • The game does not go beyond these limits.

The Suspension Conundrum

What we were to discover is that the game ceases playing after the forth blue card or six red card. This will inevitably leads to question the game design and the goals of the game designers. Only in the later stages of the game will the regularity of turn usage be quelled to an extent by this limit, so is this set in stone to avoid confusion, or is it due to technical reasons?

Implications for Gameplay

The choices that include the blue card limit also affect the gameplay in FC25 Rush in various ways. Too many blue cards on a team’s hands means the game will be brought to a halt to bring some order into the disorder. This creates a new level of tactics, because to play aggressively, which is often necessary for victory and loss points, the team must protect their players.

Community Reaction

We sought views from EA FC25 members on whether the coloured card limit should be extended to blue card only. Some posted comments revealed that they did not expect the limit and others said that it was essential for stabilization of the game. (FC25 Blue card)
